Stage Two of Today's Xfinity Race

We're now ready for Stage 2 of the Xfinity Race today. Stage one has finished. Here's an overview of the first stage. Alexander Rossi and Devlin DeFrancesco lead the way. Christian Lundgaard is only 3 seconds behind.

Stage 2 of xfinity races

The Xfinity Series finished Stage two with Daniel Hemric winning the event. The race ended in green and white. However, a yellow caution flag was issued for the last lap. The top five drivers were involved in a wreck at the end of the lap and the top four cars all fell out. Ross Chastain, Cindric and Marks were all involved. Bell also received a penalty after he speeded on pit road during a pit stop. Although it knocked Bell out of contention to win, he finished eighth.

Gibbs leads the race heading into the stage. Trevor Bayne, AJ Allmendinger, and Trevor Bayne are close behind. Ryan Preece as well Kyle Custer made Allgaier pass at the restart. AJ Allmendinger also passed Allgaier, but he had to pit under the yellow flag.

Allmendinger led seven laps in the race before the caution was issued. Allgaier now has a 19-point advantage over Allmendinger. David Gragson, however, led 39 laps. Allmendinger finally passed him in the final turn and took the lead. Afterwards, Allmendinger expressed his displeasure with his team, saying that the cars were a lap behind him and he was "not happy."


Today, Watkins Glen will host the Xfinity Series. Sunoco Go Rewards 200 will take place at the track. The race will be conducted over 82 laps along a road course. Byron and Gibbs will start in the front row. Justin Allgaier, Kyle Larson and Kyle Larson will start in the rear row.

During today's Xfinity race stage 1, the lead is changed several times. Justin Allgaier holds a six-second edge over AJ Allmendinger, the current leader of the race. Allgaier, along with Trevor Bayne, is passed later in stage. Later, Allmendinger passes the leader and takes the lead with two laps to go.

The leaders start moving after a caution flag is waved to indicate a safety car. Will Power is holding the lead, with Colton Herta only a few second behind. Alexander Rossi (second), Christian Lundgaard (third), and Pato O’Ward (fourth). Kyle Kirkwood is fourth. He tries to move up to the top five, but is pulled back and sent to the rear.

William Byron finishes sixth after he took the lead lap 52. Gibbs runs alongside Allmendinger in the next stage and clears him at turn 2. Later, Byron takes 2nd place alongside Larson. Hemric crashes into turn five's tire barrier. Gibbs finishes 27th.

The Xfinity racing was originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, but was canceled due to lightning storms and rain. It is unclear how long NASCAR will delay the race. The race typically lasts around two hours.
